This sounds like something that could potentially be done, I doubt this would work well as having any luminescent block would really mess with how the passive would work. Both Sea Lanterns and Glowstone have a luminescence of 15. But there are other light emitting blocks that any curious person...

This seemed to be turned down due to the less practical way you described it, and I guess you could wait on Sobki to make an add-on. I'll be marking this denied for now though.

What practicality would this hold when it comes to just being a nuisance rather than a performance issue?

Denied due to being both a duplicate, and the fact that the reason the duplicate was denied still stands. This would be detrimental when it comes down to having a water source being used for this.
